fallen in love with....

As soon as i saw it, it was love at first sight! I absolutely adore this picture by Marisol Spoon

and bought it straight away. It will go in my 18 month old daughters room and I think she will enjoy it for many many years to come. It is so magical and whimsy with a touch of fairytale that I think it will envoke the child in all of us!

I will take more pictures once I have framed it and put it on the wall

Made fresh

Ok...so I finally got to do some sewing in the past few days with the gorgeous screen printed fabric from Danielle Stewart and I am happy with my little creations as they are oh so handy.

So it's fair to say that I have called them "Oh so handy key band" and you can find them for sale at my etsy store!

And of course I made the yellow protea fabric one for me!

I just purchased some absolutely adorable fabrics from Danielle Stewart from her etsy store which you can find at www.daniellestewart.etsy.com. She designs these herself and I just can't wait to get creating! I opted for the scrap pack - which was so economical as I want to make some fabric covered cards and tags and also some key fob wristlets. So keep an eye out on my Etsy Store for these!

learning something new

After an impulsive buy of 'meet me at mikes' craft book i got the urge to learn to crochet! So i borrowed a crochet hook from my mother-in-law who also gave me a very quick lesson during one of my visits and then I sat patiently with Pip's instructions on my lap and had a go. I am pretty happy with the results so far. My plan is to make a little lap blanket for the winter so i have picked warm earthy colours. What do you reckon??

It's so lovely to get parcel's in the mail and i was very happy when this little one landed on my doorstep from the U.S. I got him from a lovely little Etsy shop called OwlShop - be sure to check it out. Oh and check out their blog (details in my list) - I'm very happy i did and now I know this little one's name - Snow Owly. I think he will love being an Aussie!
